Skilling girls project
As an organization our aim is to provide girls(child mothers) with skills that enable them generate their own incomes from hands-on activities regardless of their education backgrounds and family status.
We reached out to communities in Kween district with the aim of providing skills in tailoring which took a period of three(3) months after which we provided the beneficiaries with Sewing Machines to utilize in the quest for cash, and an active way of living without begging. During the training, we also did economic independence training which included strategies on how the beneficiaries would save the money they earned. Fourteen girls have so far completed training and are practicing their skill. (Click here to view their stories of change)
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Girls First Fund for the continued support they render to the Girl child in restoring hope for those whose futures have been shuttered and visions lost.
