Girls empowerment on menstrual hygiene and Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights- September 2023
Undertaking SBCC awareness creation for in School and out girls focusing on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights and Menstrual Hygiene Management is one of the activities the project has adopted to enhance young people’s self awareness in the districts of Kapchorwa, Kween and Bukwo. Information is packaged in presentations and engages the audience with empowering messages to prevent child marriages, teenage pregnancies and practice of FGM/C by enabling them to understand themselves, have life skills and abilities to wade off sexual advances and complete all rounds of schooling.
Objectives for the Activity
- To promote access to life skills information, Menstrual Hygiene Management which will empower children especially girls in school with necessary messages to enable them take informed decisions to prevent child marriages, teenage pregnancies and the practice of FGM/C.
- To reach 300 girls and equip them with life skills focusing on adolescent sexual reproductive health rights and focus on Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Rights.
