Our Approach

Communities Leading the Change

Lasting change starts within communities. We work alongside girls, parents, boys, men, and local leaders to challenge harmful norms, keep girls in school, and protect survivors — building a Sebei Sub-region where every girl can choose her own future.

What We Do

Objectives

The actions that drive community-led transformation.

Train girls and equip them with life skills to shun early child marriages.

Dialogue with parents to support their children to complete all rounds of education — especially the girl child — and support economically vulnerable households with girls at risk of marriage through income-generating activities.

Engage boys and men to stop procuring child marriages and allow girls to complete the school cycle.

Conduct advocacy and engagement meetings with sub-county local government and police leadership on implementing existing laws and policies that protect teenage girls from FGM/C and early marriage — strengthening the response to early marriages within the Sebei Sub-region.

Provide psycho-social services to women and girls who have suffered SGBV, and refer cases of child marriage and defilement to courts of law and other stakeholders.
