Sabila Hassan’s Journey to Healing and Empowerment
My name is Sabila Hassan from Kaptokwoi Village, Moron Parish, Kaptanya Sub-county, Kapchorwa District. After my accident, my family sold all our land to fund my treatment. When that failed, I turned to local remedies, which led to complete loss of function in my hand. Thankfully, the Sabiny Transformation Initiative (STI) identified me during a needs assessment and facilitated my treatment at Kumi Hospital. Today, my hand is fully recovered and functional.
STI didn’t stop there. They placed me in a Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) with seven members and connected us to Sebei Farmers SACCO for business development. I am now saving and planning for a brighter future. I am deeply grateful to STI, KCH, and the BEN network for their unwavering support.
