Sabiny Transformation Initiative conducted a successful life skills and adolescent sexual reproductive health rights (SRHR) training in Kaptoyoy and Binyiny sub-counties of Kween District, reaching 440 adolescent girls. The initiative aimed to equip girls with the knowledge and confidence to navigate adolescence, advocate for their rights, and stand against challenges like child marriage and teenage pregnancy.

Participants were mobilized from the parishes of Tukumo, Chepyakaniet, Ngoryemwo, and Kaptolong—communities within our core project areas. During the sessions, girls engaged in interactive presentations, group discussions, and mentorship activities designed to break menstrual taboos, promote menstrual hygiene, and challenge gender stereotypes.
Each girl received a dignity kit to support her personal well-being and boost her self-esteem. The program also encouraged girls to create safe spaces in their communities and homes, advocate for equal opportunities, and confidently pursue their education, free from discrimination and bias.
